Longbridge
We are proud to launch a transformative Biodiversity Net Gain project in the heart of the Low Weald, designed to restore and enhance the landscape in alignment with local environmental policies and the Low Weald National Character Area guidelines.
The proposed habitat creation and enhancement will aim to return the site to a more historic appearance, restoring permanent pasture managed for ecological diversity, divided by hedgerows and scattered trees to mimic a parkland aesthetic.
This initiative will not only support local wildlife but also strengthen climate resilience, improve ecosystem services, restore historic field boundaries and deliver on key local and regional habitat objectives detailed in the national and local landscape character assessments.
Strategically positioned between several targeted biodiversity enhancement areas and designated protected sites, the site’s conservation-focused management will help to link these areas, creating vital ecological corridors and additional habitats for species moving through the landscape.
By establishing species-rich grasslands and native woodlands, we are ensuring long-term sustainability while contributing to national biodiversity targets.
Join us in creating a greener, wilder future, where nature thrives, and the rich heritage of the Low Weald is protected and expanded.
Key features:
7.89 Hedgerow units
121.46 Area units (primarily grassland)
Wealden Local Planning Authority
Low Weald Natural Character Area

Longbridge Regenerative.
Making more of BNG.
The Longbridge circular economy approach has created considerable momentum to develop new products, services and businesses.
It supports local and international businesses including Long Man Brewery, architects CAUKIN Studio, cycling club Cadence, well-being centre Sussex Shala, natural food products Holy Cow Ice Cream and Liquid Spirit Coffee Roasters. Longbridge also runs The Nest learning space, the Longbridge Ponies and is host to many events including the already legendary Longbridge Backyard Ultra.
Longbridge BNG is another piece of the Longbridge regenerative jigsaw puzzle, creating a place for nature, people and the economy to thrive. At our initial site at Warren Farm, customers, employees and the wider Sussex community will benefit from the enhanced natural landscape thanks to Longbridge BNG.
For BNG to be a truly sustainable solution to rebuilding nature, it has to be more than just a commodity, it has to fuel communities, economy and the environment – this is our vision.
